I haven't started with preparations for the day yet, but my pantry is stocked and ready.
The part that isn't quite ready for the day is my attitude. I need an adjustment, but doesn't almost everyone this year?
Honestly, I'm always grateful for what I have. I think that's the key to happiness. I thank God daily for my blessings: my family, our health, my friends.
But 2020 has been a challenge, to say the least. While we should be filled with thanks, doubts and anxieties seem to rise to the surface all too easily these days.
Will this stupid virus ever dry up and go away?
Will our country truly heal from the vitriol that politics unleashes?
Here's a tip: Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you. 1 Peter 5:7 I did that last night during some sleepless hours.
Still, I turn to prayer for peace and purpose. Now, as always, this is my prayer for you:
I hope you have a satisfying Thanksgiving Day and reflect on your blessings with a heart full of gratitude and a home full of love.
